September 17, 2007. NetBeans.org announced that NetBeans IDE 6.0 includes popular StrikeIron Web Services.
The five prepackaged StrikeIron web services are: DNS, US Address Verification, Email Verification, ReversePhoneLookup and TaxDataComplete. Each service is made available from within the StrikeIron Node within the Services Module. Furthermore, the new IDE enables users to search for and integrate StrikeIron Web Services directly from within the IDE.
To highlight this new functionality, NetBeans.org has created a tutorial that shows how to use StrikeIron web services to build a Visual Web application using the Visual Web designer. Specifically, it demonstrates how to build a web app that invokes StrikeIron US Address Verification to verify an address entered by the user.
