| Why does From number on my text messages appear as 49502 instead of the actual phone number? |

|
49502 is the short code that is required by the service provider to send messages programmatically rather than mobile to mobile. In some rare cases a carrier may display the from number but in most cases the short code will be displayed. You may use the "from name" field to identify yourself to your recipients.
